Carcass & Part II, II Parts

Salvaged car parts, photography, 2025

Carcass and Part I, II Parts are sculptures made from salvaged and stolen car parts. Carcass takes these parts and is reconstructed to look as though the car door is spilling its guts out while Part II, II Parts works to illustrate the act of salvaging that took place to create these pieces. This piece speaks on the large proliferation of cars and how they have become a new species of animal within our ecosystem. I push the carcass onto the wall, hanging it like an ornamental piece of taxidermy.
