Portrait of the Artist is a series of metal sculptures where sheet becomes symbol for the trans body. Twisting, shifting forms are riveted together, constructed into a body malleable and pliable to change. Sharp moments of piercing are strung throughout each form, maintaining upward momentum in order to become sites for reclamation. Each sculpture is tenderly rubbed with both testosterone and estrogen cypionate before each locus of piercing is doused in it, allowing for all layers to feel each loving dribble.
