My work articulates transsexual embodiment through a constant questioning and challenging of the idea of the alien or other. I work transdisciplinarily, primarily through the mediums of performance, metal sculpture, video, text, hormones, and painting in order to capture the range of experiences within transness and othering.
Inherent to my work and practice is ritual and communion. I utilize the body and performance as ritual for grounding within one’s being, a form of protest against the societal instinct towards disassociation from the body. I also frequently pull inspiration from historical sources and trans publications as a method of inquiry, upliftment of unheard voices, and communion with those who came before me.
