Hearken Unto Me, Fellow Creatures is a video which utilizes the act of washing oneself and sewing fabric to conjure notions of resilience and self-constituted construction as stand-ins for the sovereign trans being. Derived from the provided Susan Stryker essay, the video and installation revolve around an idea of transgender rage, and the subjective, sovereign queer being from a mastery of language of the self. From this, I hearken unto all creatures to take pride in their personal construction, to bathe themselves in the blood of their soul, and commune with those of the past and present who have taken on the same path as you.
