Smeared and taped to the film are the testosterone and estrogen cypionate, oils, and ever-so-barely seen scratches depict the transgender symbol. The oil acts as a palpable, tangible material, imbuing the film with the essence of transsexuality. The nearly invisible quality of both oil and etching act as subliminal messaging for the viewer, an ethereal experience. The floral film holds a specific gaze towards the reproductive organs of the plants and contains only species which may be considered perfect flowers, the name used for hermaphroditic flowers.

The two films, nestled together and touching on the wall, offer a spatial-relation along with their transcendentalist, gender-bending ways. They parallel each other in mysticalities, questionings, and cosmic beauty. The 16mm film is nearly formless, and certainly genderless, with only the faint flicker of oil, and the floral film holds almost no genitalia unless you have an eye for botanical reproductivity. Yet each holds a glow, a natural divinity, which captures the beauty of matter which holds no bounds. That is the true parallel between the transsexual and the perfect flower, to flourish within a being boundless to the laws of a human constructed notion of sex, that is the definition of perfect.
